Jess Sasso is a ceramic artist who moves between refinement and experimentation. She begins on the wheel, working towards simple, considered forms that become the foundation for a more intuitive process of hand building and glazing. 

Much of her work develops organically, guided by the material itself rather than a predetermined design. Through additions, alterations, and surface treatments, she explore ways to emphasize or challenge the underlying form.

Each piece evolves through this exchange between control and spontaneity, resulting in one-of-a-kind objects that embrace the unexpected.
